Line Art Project

So recently in class we were to make four equal sized square shapes, and create an overlapping art piece, that has lots of color, and boldness. Definitely need some good, value, and good shadowing and shading. So I was given the time to think about what I wanted to do, and I cam up with the idea of the more color the better, and began to draw. To me my artwork sort of looks like a Rainbow, that has blow up, or just a trippy visual piece of art, with lots of unique colors, and shapes. The title of my finalized piece is called, “Duo”. I chose this title because if you look closely. Every new strip of color, has two colors in it at least. Duo meaning two, I thought it was a good choice. So for this art class, since it is usually taken last, and we are old and behave enough to use them, we use prismacolors. These colored pencils are a lot easier to shade with, give your art work some value, and just is more high tech than a crayola pencil. Lots of my technique involved shading, pushing hard for dark areas, and lighter for warmer areas. Since I like to spend my free time doing art, it is really easy for me to just inspire my drawings based on what I hear, see, and feel. It really all depends on the day. You have to let the art control you, otherwise to me I feel like I start overdoing it, and then it does not turn out how I like it. My goals to achieve as an artist is to just never give up on art. Art is something that is such a brain break, and it just helps when you may be stressed, or you have any anxiety. Just sitting down, and taking some time out of my day to draw has helped me very much in the past, and I hope to continue with art.

Overall, what I learned from doing this line art project is that however many lines you draw on your outline, the more you put, the harder it will be. It might look really cool! It may have lots of detail, but this project took me quite some time, and effort, so in the future I would either work on it more at home, or do an easier outline.
