  1. Introduction

I will be showing you three objects that are important in my life everyday, even if the object isn’t in my hands every day. I will be sharing with you a baseball, and basketball, and the Bible. I will be explaining how these objects in my life are important and what they really mean to me.

For my first object I brought today is a basketball! Basketball is something that is very important to me and my family. I’ve been in the game for about 13 years. From my dad being a college coach to me playing every weekend tournament. I’m always focused on the game and it takes skill in many different categories. Basketball is a long game, there can be times when you are tired or you feel the need to stop “running the court” which means to get up and down with the ball. During these times you need to think about how this sport can affect and help you with life. It one, helps your body to stay active. Two, it can help you push through things when times are rough.

The second object I brought today is a bible. This is probably the most important thing I brought today for me. I am always at church on Sunday mornings and In God’s word. It is a very important thing in my household. I think that for my daily life I should be more in God’s word. I want to be someone who is in his word daily not just on Sunday’s. At my church Messiah Lutheran we talk about being a three thirds church. This means we are in God’s word every day, not JUST sunday’s. Now I know this could be a tough task but we need to be making the effort to be the best Christian we can be.

My last object I brought today is a baseball. This object you may be wondering why I brought it but the game of baseball takes a lot of mental toughness. If your in the game and it isn’t going well an inning could go for a while and perhaps longer than you want it to last and then your body posture can look negative. This is where mental toughness comes in. I think we can all use mental toughness in our daily life with any situation we have to deal with or go through.

Thank you for listening to a little bit about what I brought for my objects. I hope that I get to know some of you better through your speeches and from what you brought .
